Mr. Koch is the Founder and President of the District of Columbia Center for the Creative Economy. TheCenter sponsors conversations with Creative Economy thought leaders and codirected TEDxWDC which organized presentation by 26 Creative Economy leaders in 2012. He is a founding board member of the new culinary arts nonprofit NURISH. Mr. Koch is Founder and Chair Emeritus of Artomatic, Inc. and leads their Licensing and International Programs. Artomatic is a disruptive self-governing organization model
that builds community among artists, builds new audiences for artists through the temporary use of large spaces.
He is a painter and founder of A. Salon, Ltd., an artist’s service organization in the District of Columbia. Mr. Koch is a founding member of the board for the Cultural Development Corporation, the Cultural Alliance of Greater Washington, Capitol Fringe Festival, Arts & Culture Committee for the Greater Washington Central Labor Council, AFL-CIO, and served on the board of each for several terms.
Mr. Koch served five terms as a Commissioner with the District of Columbia Commission on the Arts and Humanities and he served five terms as an officer of National Artists Equity Association and the Artists Equity Association and the Artists Equity Fund.
