Lester Roy Morter retired in 2015 from a 28-year career with the Government of the District of Columbia, Office of Tax and Revenue working as an exemption specialist and a commercial real estate appraiser. Prior to that worked as a residential sales associate for Coldwell Banker.
Roy graduated in 1982 from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia with a Bachelor of Science degree.
Roy was raised in Springfield, Virginia and attended public school there.
Roy has lived in the District of Columbia for 30 years, currently residing in the neighborhood Adams Morgan.
Roy is motivated to continue in public service by providing volunteer work for the Community Alliance for Upper Fourteenth Street to strive for community improvements in the Upper Fourteenth Street area. Roy currently serves as the Treasurer for CAUFS.
Roy’s interests are traveling and bicycling.
